About Roger Morrissey -
Prior to Morrissey's election as the Douglas County, Nebraska
Assessor in 1999, he was a mediocre property appraiser and real estate
sales person.
During the past 8 years, Morrissey has increased residential property
values in Douglas County over 100% while increasing his own property
value by a measly 3%.
It is estimated that more than 42% of Douglas County residences are
valued over their fair market value. Nebraska law requires residential
properties be valued at 94-100% of fair market value. Therefore, Morrissey is guilty of
breaking Nebraska law. He is also guilty of political favoritism and
violation of public trust. Morrissey's favorite spin while talking to
the media is "I am just trying to be fair". Morrissey wants to raise
your valuation! There is no more right or wrong in America, only what's
fair. His idea of "fairness" is to undervalue his own property, over
value the taxpayer's property, and grant favors to his cronies, campaign
contributors, and political associates.
Morrissey is a narcissist with socialist values and is driven by ego,
jealousy, greed, power, and control. Moreover, he is incompetent,
lacking in character and integrity. He has taken advantage of and abused
the power of office. He is looked down upon with disdain and disgust by
a large segment of his own co-workers and Douglas County, Nebraska
taxpayers. The name, Morrissey, should most likely be mentioned in the
same context with other professional politicians such as Rod
Blagojevich, Kwame Kilpatrick, Randy 'Duke' Cunningham, William
Jefferson, and the like.
This tyrant must be removed from office. Edmund Burke once stated, "All
that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good people do
nothing!" It is time for the GOOD CITIZENS AND TAXPAYERS OF DOUGLAS
COUNTY, NEBRASKA TO DO SOMETHING!!!! Let's remove this parasitic evil
doer from office!
